Instant Forms and Lead Capture

Key takeaway
Instant Forms reduce friction dramatically, but shorter isn't always better — match form length to lead quality needs.
Meta's native Instant Forms let a user submit their contact information without ever leaving the app, which removes the single biggest source of friction in mobile lead generation: waiting for an external landing page to load. For most local service campaigns, Instant Forms meaningfully outperform sending traffic to a website contact form purely on completion rate.
The tradeoff is lead quality versus lead volume. A short Instant Form (name, phone number) will generate the highest volume of leads at the lowest cost, but some of those leads will be lower-intent — people who tapped through without fully considering the offer. Adding one or two qualifying questions (e.g., "What service are you interested in?" or "What's your timeline?") raises the cost per lead somewhat but improves the quality of what a client's sales team actually has to follow up on.
The right balance depends on the client's own follow-up capacity: a business with a dedicated person calling every lead within minutes can often handle higher volume, lower-qualified leads profitably, while a solo owner with limited time benefits more from a shorter, more qualified list even at a higher cost per lead. This is a conversation to have directly with the client, not a default setting to apply blindly.
